Giclée Printing Info

Giclée (pronounced 'zhee-CLAY') is a French word meaning "to spray". Our giclée limited edition fine art prints are printed on a sophisticated, state of the art digital inkjet ColorSpan Giclée PrintmakerFA which utilizes an 8 color "Endura Chrome" dye-based archival ink process. These inks allow a wider color range (gamut) and are rated the highest quality. Final print size can be as small as you desire or up to 35" x 47".

We offer a variety of high quality archival media such as Fredrix fine art canvas, Arches watercolor (Hot or Cold Pressed) 330 or 660gms, Hahnemuhle Torchon 285 gms, Etching 310 gms, and Photo Glossy. The richness of color gives the reproduction the look and texture of the original. The images are printed one at a time on a drum printer insuring quality control.

Giclée printing is cost effective, eliminating a large up front investment required by traditional methods. The edition can be printed on an "as needed basis". You can order 1 or more prints depending on how many you want to inventory. Typical lithograph runs can cost $2000.00 or more and you have to inventory all those prints.

Scanned images will be archived at no additional charge insuring reproductions that are color correct. The digital technology allows us to retouch, enhance, or color manipulate the image under the supervision of the Artist. The artist may also hand embellish the image giving a unique touch to the edition.
